BREAKING NEWS: Schobel to Retire

Aaron Schobel, from

Pats fans have been waiting impatiently for former Bills DE Aaron Schobel to decide which team he was going to play for in 2010. The Patriots had expressed interest and Schobel-to-Pats seemed like a perfect fit with the need for a pass rusher. Schobel has finally made his decision: He will not play at all and will retire. I got this tweet from John McClain of the Houston Chronicle:

Former Buffalo DE Aaron Schobel told me this morning he’s officially retired and won’t be playing for the Texans.

Looks like the Pats will have to look elsewhere if they still feel the need to add to their stable of pass rushers.
