Welker Cleared to Practice

Patriots wide receiver has been removed from the PUP list and is practicing today, the fourth day of Patriots training camp.  This is remarkable news considering the type of injury he sustained on his ACL and completing surgery just 6 months ago.   Finally, some positive news out of Pats camp after months of speculations, holdouts, and retirements.

This is amazing news! I go away for a softball tournament and he has to sneak back on the field… :)

So, what is your take as a informed NE Pats watcher? Is Welker a good fit for fantasy football teams this season?

    • Steve

Absolutely. He will be a major target for Brady and a major part of the offense. The only issue will be how his knee holds up. Look what Brady did after his surgery two years ago. Had one of the best years of his career.

I would have to agree. Welker is Brady’s safety net, and by the looks of things he’ll be good to go Week One. Keep an eye on him during the preseason and camp to see if he has any setbacks.
