‘Help Vince’ find his stolen Super Bowl ring

For the past few weeks, ‘Help Vince’ t-shirts and emails have been sent throughout the media and Patriots Nation without much of an explanation. I discussed the happenings here and here and tried to figure out what exactly ‘Help Vince’ was referring to. I noted the Super Bowl ring in the ‘N’ on Vince’s name, and sure enough, the campaign is related to his Super Bowl ring. However, it is not the charity auction I hypothesized. Instead, Vince Wilfork and the Patriots are releasing an iPhone and Android app that consists of challenges for you to do to help Vince find his “stolen” championship ring.

The story goes that a crazed Jets fan has stolen Vince’s championship ring and has left clues for Pats fans to try and find the ring. At the ‘Help Vince’ website, you can watch a sketch video of a press conference discussing the incident. By playing through the challenges, one can earn points and prizes, which of course is Patriots gear. It sounds like fun if you have one of those phones (I do not :( ), so give it a shot. If anybody would like to report back on how the app is, that would be great. Post your review of the app in the ‘Comments’ section of this article.

Just a reminder, if you haven’t voted in the poll to the right of the page, make sure you do so. The poll asks, “Should the Pats sign T.O.?” I discussed the story yesterday here.

This is a Great idea, and the main prize goes to the person who receives the most points. This is very unfair as they have just released the game today and there is already a person who has been working on visiting places for a month and is very far in the lead.

Someone has been working on it for a month already? Do you think it’s rigged so nobody can get the main prize? Otherwise it sounds pretty good. I guess you can at least try and get the other prizes…
