Unfortunately, one of those announcements was not about the still-vacant defensive coordinator’s position. The Patriots did add former Notre Dame defensive backs coach Corwin Brown to the coaching staff. While not defining his role publicly yet, it is expected that he will work with the defensive backs, possibly either as defensive backs coach or in a more specific role, like corner or safety coach. ]]> The 2010 Patriots coaching staff is beginning to take shape with an addition and a subtraction announced today. Unfortunately, one of those announcements was not about the still-vacant defensive coordinator’s position. The Patriots did add former Notre Dame defensive backs coach Corwin Brown to the coaching staff. While not defining his role publicly yet, it is expected that he will work with the defensive backs, possibly either as defensive backs coach or in a more specific role, like corner or safety coach. Besides working under Charlie Weiss at Notre Dame, Brown has other Patriots connections.
