Here are my picks for this weekend’s playoff games.
Colts 24, Ravens 17. I don’ think that the Colts will make it to the Super Bowl, but they’ll make it through this week. The players want to try and prove that management made a good decision letting players rest, so they’ll come out swinging. The Ravens’ pass defense just isn’t going to be good enough to stop Peyton.
Chargers 17, Jets 14. I think this will be a tight defensive battle, but the Jets just don’t have enough players to cover all of San Diego’s weapons. Vincent Jackson will be shut down by Darrelle Revis, but Antonio Gates and Darren Sproles will have good games. The Jets don’t have the offensive power to overcome the Chargers.
Cardinals 38, Saints 35. The Saints peaked at the wrong time and the Cardinals are getting hot again. It will be a shoot-out and Neil Rackers will get to make up for his miss at the end of last week’s game.
Cowboys 27, Vikings 17. The Cowboys are doing everything right at the right time. I think the bye week actually hurt the momentum Minnesota gained during the second half of their regular season closer. The ‘Boys defense will be the deciding factor, generating the turnovers necessary to set up the offense to put points on the board.
