Browns Dump (Trade) Cry-Baby Edwards to Jets!

How do you get rid of a spoiled cry-baby wide receiver?  You do what the Cleveland Browns have just done with wide receiver Braylon Edwards.  Which is ship his whiny ass along with all his baggage as far away from your team as possible, to another team.  And that’s exactly what they have done as the lonely and win-less Browns have traded Edwards, right out of the AFC North.  Straight to the AFC East and the New York Jets, for what’s being rumored to be a very nice return package.

While the terms of the deal haven’t been officially released, it’s rumored that the Browns received receiver Chansi Stuckey.  Along with 3rd year linebacker Jason Trusnik and two undisclosed draft picks.  Sounds like a great return for the Browns if you ask me.  Since they get rid of a huge distraction in Edwards and might actually be able to start gaining some much needed team unity without him.

They are also getting two players that ex-Jets coach and current Browns coach Eric Mangini obviously wanted.  Plus the extra draft picks will help them build their team for the future.  Which they desperately need to start doing.  Since they’re 0-4 on the season, and can pretty much write off this year.  Hey, who knows maybe the Browns can draft another useless QB, like they did when they selected Brady Quinn a few years back.

Regardless of what happens the rest of the season, one things for sure.  The Browns have just removed a cancerous portion of their team.  With Edwards now someone else’s problem maybe they can start moving in the right direction, and start turning their storied franchise around.  Lord knows that can’t go backwards any further!
