Here’s the latest on the happenings with the New England Patriots. The Patriots who are freeing up salary cap money have released WR and special team’s man Kelley Washington. Also released was offensive lineman Billy Yates. These moves are a direct cause to the signing of quarterback Matt Cassel. And the $14.65 million dollars Cassel will now be earning next season.
In other news the team also announced that our old friend Tully Banta-Cain a linebacker is coming home, again. Banta-Cain spent the past two seasons out West with the 49ers. It’s a plus for both Banta-Cain and the Pats as he’s familiar with the style of defense we play in New England. Since he was with us for four seasons and two of the teams championships. Also joining the team is TE Brad Listorti a former UMASS product. Listorti had spent sometime over the past season with both the Falcons and the Jets.
