Honestly, it was only a peek! That’s all that I managed of the NFL’s Pro Bowl game. With boredom hitting me last night and while trying to find something worthwhile to watch, I peeked. And NO I wasn’t one of the few hundred people that actually watch the league’s annual “All-Star” contest.
I turned it on actually to just get a score of the game. And only saw a few minutes of the action. Turning it right off after watching Stephen Gostkowski kick the extra point. From the Baltimore Ravens running back Le’Ron McClain fourth quarter touchdown score. McClain’s score put the AFC up 21-17 with just about seven minutes left.
Oh and for those of you that might actually care about the game. The NFC side came away with the victory 30-21. Who was named MVP of the game? That award went to Larry Fitzgerald of the Arizona Cardinals. As he caught 5 passes for 81 yards and has both of the NFC’s TD receptions.
Now what about our very own New England Patriots, and their two representatives in the game? Wide reciever Wes Welker had 3 catches for 23 yards and Gostkowski connected on 3 of his extra points. But the most important thing for those two players. They made it through the week long event uninjured. Which we all know in New England in a very good thing.
