Yes, it’s time to mark the end of another stellar football season with today’s NFL “Pro Bowl”game. The event which just might be making it’s last appearance in Hawaii. For EVER if the NFL has their way. So what’s this game actually mean? Nothing-zip-zilch and Nada is what this annual boring and very meaningless contest means.
So what’s on the minds of all the coaches and fans around the league? Just this little thought, “For the love of God don’t get hurt”. LOL, but it’s true anyone remember the young star running back Robert Edwards. Edwards pretty much lost his career and almost his leg playing a “flag-football”game at the Pro Bowl in 1999. All fans of the New England Patriots will be uttering that same exact sentiment.
As representing the Patriots on the AFC side will be WR Wes Welker and K Stephen Gostkowski. I know no one wants to see another player go down to injury (except maybe a Manning). But especially more so in this game, which has the same meaning as the four useless pre-season games do. At this point with the NFL planning on possibly moving the site of the game each season, who cares anymore. It’s not like the winning conference gets home-field advantage in the Super Bowl.
