I just wanted to take a moment and say farewell Josh McDaniels and good luck. As we all know by now Josh, has left the New England Patriots after eight wonderful years. To become the 12th head coach in franchise history of the Denver Broncos.
McDaniels who for the last three years has been the offensive coordinator of the Patriots, has finally gotten the call. It’s a call that we all knew in New England would eventually happen for him. He has shown that he’s more than ready and qualified to lead a team. Especially since he’s worked under one of the game’s best coaches his entire time with us, in Bill Belichick.
Belichcik has done for many (Crennel, Mangini, Weis and now McDaniels) what Bill Parcells was doing in the 80′s and 90′s. What is it? It’s showing, teaching and molding the next generation of head coaches. Making them into the best they can be, when it’s their time.
I know for myself this is a sad day. I’ve loved the style of offense that has been run by the Patriots and McDaniels the last few years. Especially when just a year ago, we set the NFL record for points and TD’s in a season. So best wishes Josh to you and your family, on your new adventure in head coaching. Good luck in the AFC West, and remember where you come from. Especially in the future when we play each other, lol.
