What a difference a year can make.  Just ask the Atlanta Falcons and their young superstar Matt Ryan.  The former BC star Ryan wins OROY award.  The Offensive Rookie Of the Year award has been handed out and it goes to the ex Boston College Eagles quarterback.  Congratulations to Matt Ryan and good luck Falcons as you battle the Arizona Cardinals in this weekends playoff games.

So Very Close!

AUTHOR: Matt DeLucia | IN: Breaking News, Off-Topic/Other | COMMENTS: None Yet

Well we all know by now that the New England Patriots did what they needed to do.  And that was to win on Sunday over the Buffalo Bills.  They accomplished that part of the equation, that was required for them to enter the post-season.  But unfortunately the Miami Dolphins and Baltimore Ravens also won on Sunday.  Which eliminated the Patriots from this years playoffs.  The Patriots were so very close, but just couldn’t get that last obstacle to fall in their favor.
This team played with heart for the entire season and they have no reason to hang their heads down.  [...]

Victory First!

AUTHOR: Matt DeLucia | IN: Breaking News, Fanzone/Tailgating, Gameday, General NFL | COMMENTS: None Yet

For the New England Patriots and their playoff hopes, a few things need to happen.  They need a victory first over the Buffalo Bills.  Then either one of two things still needs to happen.  The Jets beat the Miami Dolphins or the Ravens lose to the Jaguars.  The Patriots need to take care of business by beating the Bills and then hope for a little magic to happen.  And I can honestly say I don’t see the Jaguars going and beating the Ravens on Sunday.  So it all boils down too can the Jets beat the Dolphins.  I would love [...]

Wedding Bells!

AUTHOR: Matt DeLucia | IN: Breaking News, Off-Topic/Other | COMMENTS: None Yet

It’s the Christmas season and we are all use to hearing bells ringing.  Mainly from churches and people caroling, but this time it will be wedding bells.  Yes, that’s right folks wedding bells are in the future for New England Patriots superstar Tom Brady and now fiancee Gisele Bundchen.  The Patriots star popped the big question on Christmas Eve while on a flight from Teterboro Airport to Boston.  It’s been reported that the couple are planning a spring wedding in Costa Rica.  Best of luck and congratulations you both.

Week 17’s Quick Picks!

AUTHOR: Matt DeLucia | IN: Patriots | COMMENTS: None Yet

This is very sad, the end of the football season is fast upon us.  And it’s time for week 17’s quick picks, which happens to be the final installment for this football season.  With my first losing week coming last week with a record of 7-9, it’s time to end on a positive note.  Sitting at 108-76-1 overall, I’ll need a very strong ending to finish at my goal.  Which was to have 40 more wins than losses in my picks.
Home teams are in CAPS:
 1 – ATLANTA over St. Louis – 24-14
 2 – BALTIMORE over Jacksonville – 20-17
 3 - BUFFALO over New [...]

Seasons Greetings!

AUTHOR: Matt DeLucia | IN: Off-Topic/Other, Site News | COMMENTS: None Yet

There’s no better place to be for Christmas than in New England.  And over the last few days, my point is made perfectly.  The snows fallen, fast and furious, almost two feet over a two day period.  The houses and yards are covered, decorated in snowmen, and snow forts.  They are littered with sleds, snowmobiles and of course the shovels, blowers and all the fun goodies for kids to play with.  The night shines with an utter peace and calmness in the gleaming snow.  And for myself I find myself back home where I’ve grown fond of this holiday season.  This is what [...]

First Things First!

AUTHOR: Matt DeLucia | IN: Breaking News, Fanzone/Tailgating, Gameday, General NFL, Off-Topic/Other, Rumors | COMMENTS: None Yet

So by now we all know what the New England Patriots need to accomplish on this coming Sunday.  They need to go out and beat the Buffalo Bills and then wait and see what happens.  So it’s first things first, we need to WIN over Buffalo.  It’s that easy, win and we have life still.  A loss and it’s over.  The Bills are NOT going to just lay down and let the Patriots roll all over them either.  They will try and play spoiler again this weekend, as they did in upsetting the Denver Broncos.  Their win over the Broncos [...]
