So what do we call this game? A tale of two halves? The true showing of Matt Cassel? A Super Bowl favorite in the Pittsburgh Steelers? Those are just a few of the questions that will arise from the beating the New England Patriots just suffered, in the Steelers crushing 33-10 win. So I’ll say it now, you can look now it’s over! Thank god it’s over, that was pretty down right harsh to watch, especially the second half. And what do we lose, besides this game. The chance to climb back into first place with the New York Jets who lost today thanks to the Denver Broncos.
And most likely any hopes of making the playoffs. Yes the playoffs those hopes most likely died when we lost, and the Colts and the Ravens both winning their respective games. Frankly they didn’t deserve to win that game either. To many dropped passes, to many fumbles (thanks Matt), and the lack of not being able to make tackles. A few minutes into the second half you just felt the shift in the winds, so to speak. The Steelers just plain wanted this victory more than New England. And they went out and took care of business. They did what was required, and that’s simply play good solid football. And also not turning the ball over. Pittsburgh did it, and we didn’t, it’s as easy as that.
