Patriots Fantasy Recap

Welcome to this week’s edition of the Patriots fantasy recap for week 8 of the NFL season.  The New England Patriots have another victory under their belts by defeating the St. Louis Rams by the score 23-16 this past Sunday.  For those of us that were at the game or watched it on television, we know it was a hard fought victory.  To close for comfort at times, but in the end we sealed the deal for another Patriots victory.

Week 8 stats for the New England Patriots:

PASSING:  Matt Cassel – 21 of 33 for 267 yds – 1 TD – 2 Int’s

RUSHING:  Kevin Faulk 13 for 60 yds – Matt Cassel 7 for 22 yds – BenJarvus Green-Ellis 9 for 16 yds and 1 TD.

RECIEVING:  Randy Moss 7 for 102 yds – Wes Welker 7 for 79 yds – Kevin Faulk 4 for 47 yds and 1 TD – Jabar Gaffney 1 for 17 yds – Ben Watson 1 for 13 yds – David Thomas 1 for 9 yds.

KICKING:  Stephen Gostkowski  3 for 3 Field Goal’s – 2 for 2 Extra Pts.

DEFENSE:  16 Points allowed – 4 Sacks – 1 Int

We now focus our attention on the Indianapolis Colts and Peyton Manning.  With a Sunday night match-up on tap in Indianapolis.  The Colts are struggling this season on all sides of the ball.  With a record of 3 and 4 in the AFC South the Colts are now five games behind the Tennessee Titans. And for the first time in a few years just might be looking a wild card spot in the playoffs, if they can even manage that.  A win this week for the Patriots could just close the lid on the Colts season and playoff dreams.  Tune in Sunday night for this contest, that’s a must win for both teams.
