At The Half!

WOW is all I can say so far about this game.  At the half the Dolphins have man handled the Patriots on all sides of the ball.  The Dolphins have come into Foxboro into our house and taken over for the first half.  It’s 21-6 and the Patriots have to go in the locker room and figure out how to stop them.

Matt Cassel needs to step up and prove that he belongs in the NFL.  From what I’ve seen it so far from Cassel is a qb that hasn’t tried to throw the ball deep at all.  Yes the 5 yard short pass is nice but when it’s your entire offense right now it won’t get the job done.

Chad Pennington is 11 for 13 for 156 yards and has played perfectly.  Pennington is hitting any receiver he wants at will.  Which then opens up the running game which Miami is showing is alive and well.  Ronnie Brown looks like he’s returned to old form before the injury that cost him his season last year.  He’s running over any defender that tries to stop him.

Miami’s game is simple right now, take the 2nd half kick-off and continue doing what they did with success in the first half.  That’s to run the ball, and spread the field with their receivers, while taking the pressure off Pennington.  In my opinion if the Dolphins take their next possession and drive the length of the field and score any points at all it just might spell the end of this game.

The Patriots need answers and they need them fast if they want to get back into this game.  Let’s start by stopping the charge of the Dolphins.  We don’t want to loss this game and go into the bye week next week with a performance like we have seen so far today.
