Patriots Fantasy!

Welcome to the first installment of the Patriots Fantasy recap.  Following the conclusion of each NFL week, throughout the season, join me for the Patriots fantasy breakdown.

Week 2 stats for the Patriots:

Passing:   Matt Cassel: 16 for 23 – 165 yards – 0 Touchdowns – 0 Interceptions

Recieving:  Wes Welker 7 catches for 72 yards - Kevin Faulk 4 catches for 50 yards – Randy Moss 2 catches for 22 yards - David Thomas 1 catch for 14 yards – Sammy Morris 2 catches for 7 yards.

Rushing:  LaMont Jordan 11 for 62 yards – Kevin Faulk 3 for 16 yards – Laurence Maroney 8 for 16 yards – Matt Cassel 2 for 7 yards – Heath Evans 1 for 3 yards – Sammy Morris 8 for 0 yards 1 TD.

Defense: 10 pts allowed – 2 Sacks – 1 Interception

I know if you look at the Patriots fantasy lines for week 2, you must be saying “My god what happened to the team“.  There is no need to worry, this was only the first week of Cassel running the offense.  Trust me it will improve greatly over the next few weeks.  We can all rest easy, sit back, and relax while we watch the Patriots get back into the offense we have grown accustomed to seeing.  Look for much improved numbers this week with the Dolphins coming into town.

I admit I was nervous.  Keeping my fingers crossed!

I understand exactly what you mean about being nervous.  We took home the victory with all of us as Patriot fans crossing our fingers that Cassel doesn’t turn the ball over, or worse, gets hurt.  Things worked out nicely for us last week, it’s time to do it all again this week with the baby tuna’s coming into Foxboxo.
